To me the AT would be a selling point. Generally quite rugged and more easily rebuilt than the MT, and I'm too old for all that shifting. I would be tempted if it was still in MI (close to me). I'm confused about the " striped-pattern of usual Wolfsburg models, " . The '87 Wolfsburg I'm working on has the same solid grey fabric as my '91 GL.
