Right.. and when it says 'connect VW special tool # XYZ' ......what does one do then ?

Not that there are not a few interesting and useful things in this Tech Talk piece.

You think VW dealer techs sit around gobbling up new VW-supplied tech info ???

Most likely only when they absolutely have to.
