RE the latch rubber covers, I have never seen anything on a vanagon that
would work for these. I had never seen latches like this before. I think
all the diesels I have seen have been westies.
The rubber donuts that fit over the studs when the seat is down look to be
exactly the same because the studs are the same, but the catch part of the
mechanism is like 3mm stamped steel, it take a narrow, long cover over its
hard edge length.
I'd like to talk with you further bout getting a folding bed from you.
Maybe a list member is coming my way sometime? I picked up my middle seat
in Florida on a family vacation years back!
All this is contingent upon me getting the thing running reliably, of
course. Until then the seat is about the least of my worries.
