I've had a few vehicles with various limited-slip drives. They're all a big improvement over a standard vanagon's type of differential, significantly improved ability to get going and to keep going. I am planning on adding something to my 5sp when the time comes, probably a locker, as the various LSD's all behave differently. I tend to favor manual controls and I normally have little trouble maintaining momentum in mixed conditions, but getting moving, especially after being stopped on slick hills, my van won't go
