Hello Volks,

I thought I share a recent fail with you. Like another member here, my passenger side head which was just weeping prior to the east coast freeze of 2014 is now more of a dripper bordering on gusher.

I figure that I should check fluids and make sure that there was enough coolant in the reservoir. I undo the little coolant hose from the expansion tank to the main reservoir and decide to turn the cap (one of the new blue ones). As I turn it, my thumb finds it way to the nipple and somehow busted it right off the cap.

All petroleum based products on that 85 gl are feeling the brunt of this weather.

So with that, watch where your thumb wanders to under these freezing temperatures.

This concludes my PSA.

T.
