I doubt you did serious harm in driving 10 miles.  So far as draining the oil, I would take it back to the place that serviced it, and require their personnel to do the job over, doing it right this time.  That is, the oil should be drained, and the proper amount added to bring the level up to between the two marks on the dipstick.  Yes, it sounds like the oil changer put the whole 6 quarts in, which would be way overfill.

The only time I have ever had a shop overfill oil was one of the few times I have had a new car dealer's shop change the oil in my Prius!  You'd think those guys would do it right.
