Hi, Thanks for the nice words. It's a funny project, harder than I thought. Not the construction but the shape. I really should have spent more time with my plywood mockup. You'll be amazed at how little you need to change things to have a big visual effect. Pretty will all of it is 1/4" 6061. The end caps are a mix of the 1/4" 6061 and 3\16" 5052. All of it was left over from other jobs so some of the parts were welded up to make longer sections. I chose aluminum for the ease of construction. Much nicer to cut and weld etc. the no-rust bonus is nice too. And I can easily (ha!) cut out and weld in repairs. I haven't decided whether to powder coat or to use bedliner. The former would be more durable but the latter will cover up all the mistakes better. Cheers Alistair
