I have a sneakin' suspicion that this ad may be like one I responded to a couple of years ago on Craigslist. It was for a Vanagon that appeared too good to be true for the price-and you all know the old saying, "if it looks too good to be true.." Anyway, the reply I got went something like this "Thank you for the interest in the item I have for sale. Unfortunately, I have been called out of town to care for my 11 year old nephew as my sister was in a car accident and is in the hospital. The details of the sale of the item will be handled by XYZ Brokers, you will make payment to them and they will arrange shipment of the item to you. Not familiar with XYZ Brokers, well they are..." You get the gist- TOTAL SCAM!! Jeff Stewart ----- Original Message ----- |
