We started out talking about a guy who couldn't scrape the ice off his windshield and were not talking about any of the top northern states or Canada....

He could start the van and turn the defroster on, when the windshield gets warm two things will have happened. The 1st is the ice won't be a problem and the 2nd will be that you know the lines are not frozen. You're ready.
