I got to thinking about this. Seems like any vibration in our exhaust would match up with the motor's vibes....rubber would maybe allow the exhaust systems to perhaps get just a bit of movement going.... The exhaust does have a rather long "arm", all depending on being attached to the block with out breaking at just the one end at the manifold.
