I agree, but you folks across the pond have literally hundreds of small camper vans to choose from, both brand new from the factory as well as used. We have the Type II, Vanagon, and the Eurovan, last sold here in 2003. Other than that we have Sprinter based motorhomes that are twice the size as the smallest option.

But you'd have to have $7/gallon gas like Europe to make them mainstream here in the US, and we can't have that.

I think I speak for all europeans here: You american guys are nuts when it comes to 4WD Westy pricing.

Your $95K Vanagons would be worth maybe $35K (converted) in Europe.

And on the contrary: When it comes to 2WD Carats. Your $2.5K late Wolfsburgs would bring $16K in Europe.

Strange world.
