geez.. i must have thrown dozens of those things in the garbage over the years... nobody wanted them

In a message dated 2/14/2014 10:57:20 A.M. Eastern Standard Time, jrodgers113@GMAIL.COM writes:

A combination of events - hole in the floor by brake pedal, accumulation of water over time, rusting through, rotting the cork, slow brake fluid leak, etc, had destroyed the cork pad on the drivers side. It needs to be replaced.

Any suggestions as to how to approach this: whole new pad (if one can be found) , substitute other materials. How about cutting up some of the hard foam rubber flooring that you can get at HF, gluing it together into a new form fitting pad?

Just fishing for solutions here.
