Jim,
This way take us 2 minutes. I use Threaded Insert Rivets at work, If one comes loose or if the threads are damaged, we remove them with a drift and a new one can be installed. If the screw is free spinning and can't be removed, drill out the screw then punch out the rest of the rivet with the drift. When installing the new rivet, apply green loc-tite to the outer area of the rivet before installing. All this is done from one side due to there is no access on the other side. If you need a picture of the rivet tool and the rivets we use let me know. Also we use a great 2 part epoxy if needed.

The pedal came loose at the floor. ETKA shows pop rivets as the attaching fasteners. Can anyone verify this? (Pop rivets will make fixing it MUCH easier, but if they’re threaded fasteners, I’ll have to come up with a better failed fastener removal strategy than a punch and a BFH.)

Does anyone have hands on experience? (I’m going to be fixing this in a snowstorm. If I don’t have to pull the frozen carpet, that would be wonderful.)
