Right. It's been a long time since I did that, but I'll be at it again
soon. I don't remember those washers, so I must have re-used them without
any problems.
As you know, you have to remove the rock shields to get at the plugs, which
is a PITA if the nuts and bolts on the exhaust are corroded. Use lots of
penetrant.
Have fun!

Those are oil drain plug washers. The coolant drain plug washers are the
one's that are hard to find. Kenneth Wilford said he had some but I was
hoping to find some locally so I could get back on the road.

Dealer should always be your last resort, use our vendors! NAPA is also
problematic, I've had some really poor quality parts for the van from them.
I can tell you to never get heater control valve from them!
Other vendors I support:
www.busdepot.com
www.gowesty.com
www.bus-boys.com
And there are others who supply specialty parts for suspension, performance,
etc.

It's been two years since the coolant was changed so it was on my list.
I'm having a hard time finding the drain plug crush washers - NAPA and
AutoZone didn't have anything close. I ordered some from the dealership but
I'm not convinced they are the right part.
Any ideas on why there is even an opening in the head here? The only thing
I can think of is that it was used in manufacturing the head.
