Your engineer buddy had the same concern I had about that upright wagging the heavy mass you are likely going to install on top. Good job w/ the the reinforcing. It's rather attractive in an industrial sort of way. However, I am at a loss on how you would handle the characteristics of a deposit of clay, sand, gravel, or silt in building a tube for your upright. Am I missing something.😉
