That resource does not include the version of 5 pin relay that VW used for the fridge and aux battery relays. The VW relay has 2 pins labeled 87 and they are tied together permanently inside the relay. The relay connects both 87 pins to the 30 pin when the relay is on. When the relay is off both 87 pins are still connected together.

VW made use of this twin 87 version to simplify the kitchen wiring connections but people don't always understand how to connect it. When some people convert the fridge relay to be an aux battery relay they may not realize that they are removing the protection afforded by the fridge relay for the Dometic 3 way fridge 12 volt operation. Dead batteries can result.
