All the stock fridge and aux battery relays I have seen under the front
seat have been metal case versions. I assume that is because they are in
a location where people could store things that might break a plastic
case relay more easily.

All of the 80/81 fridge relays that I have seen mounted on top of the
early fridges have been plastic case like yours.
