German Transaxle has a great reputation.

Daryl used to put German Transaxle rebuilt automatic transmission sections into a select group of customer's auto transaxles (congratulations Marc on being one of the chosen few!), but not anymore. He never rebuilt them himself. At least that's what he told me last summer, but he did offer to do one for me that way. Rumor has it that Go Westy does theirs the same way, and actually invested in upgrading some of GT's equipment to become a supplier. That's just a rumor though and I'm not tellin' where I heard it!

My go-to guy in Seattle for autos is Ed's Transmission (Seattle location), VW factory authorized and they have done hundreds if not thousands of these.

Huh. I didn't know AA only does manuals. I bought an automatic from them for my '87 Westy . . .
