I had it up once in mild winds. It made some noise but didn't let go. And this was w/o the locking points at the jack inserts. Regardless, I took it down.

I wanted to find an "off the shelf" means to mount a length of 1/2" EMT conduit off one rear poptop hinge bolt and the side bolt on the luggage rack. Or, mount same off the rain gutter using roof rack parts. Figuring the angles was hit and miss.The idea being that I could roll the tarp up on that.

A drive away type of awning (stand alone tent) is appealing but I saw that these too might fly away under severe wind conditions.
