Yeah, I am beginning t think that! Like I had said, I bought it from a young man who's dad had passed away. The property had 3 Vanagons on it, one running and two that were not. Plus sheds loaded with parts. He had told me his dad kept this engine to go in his own Westy because it was the best-now maybe there was another engine somewhere and the son mixed them up. I didn't pay a lot for it, and I have over the years farmed other parts off of it, but this head is a real disappointment. The head that came off mine has razor sharp edges with no corrosion, but has a mucked up front exhaust stud (a chunk is missing where the exhaust stud screws in) but it looks like that will be head going back on. Thanks again!! Jeff Stewart ----- Original Message ----- > The corrosion on the face is not a concern but obviously the corrosion > on the cylinder seat is.
