Having some challenges installing an Audi 2.3 5-cyl w/ auto trans in my '88 2wd Doka. The drivetrain was removed from a running van which got wrecked. Part of the mounting system was a pair of square tubing welded you the donor vehicle. We thought the unit could be installed with these spacers since the Doka does not have the upper deck space limitations of a van or camper. Unfortunately, it appears the rest of the package has been configured to fit with the spacer blocks in place. The ends of the engine carrier do not quite line up with the frame rails. Now we're cut some square stock and will mount these to hold the engine in place. Eventually we rolled like to improve the mounting. The present carrier needs up move further out to the passenger side. I have seen mounts by Gilo in South Africa. They make Tiico parts. Their mouths follow the angles of the frame rails as they flare out it the rear. Does anyone know where we can get a suitable carrier short of ordering from SA? You or anyone you know have one for sale? Please pmail details,
