Why is it - that the PO, Garage Mechanic, or Whomever - when repairing or replacing where hoses and clamps are concerned always manage to get the screw/bolt head turned in a direction that one cannot a screwdriver, nut driver nor socket on it to tighten or loosen it without having to take half the engine apart??? I have to replace small dia. hose that goes from the coolant ring around the engine bay to the rear of the right head on my WBX. Somebody clearly had the belts off, the PS pump off, and the cast aluminum power steering pump mount off the engine when they connected the hose - and they did not pay attention to how anyone could get at it once the accessories were mounted. The clamp screw - if pointed down - would be easily reached from down under with a long screwdriver - had it been so aligned!! Grrrr!! John |
