on the West Coast there are scads of them.
ALL Wheel Drive ...Canada but not US is my understanding.
members may know that Justin of Greaseworks has produced an entire AWD TDI Eurovan using a crashed Canadian donor.

I actually set about taking the fifth gear from my defunct Passat, thinking I could boost the final drive ratio for better fuel economy, but it turned out to be the same as the one in the EV transmission. They played with ring and pinion ratios to get a bunch of different final drive ratios in different vehicles.
