Our fuel systems really are not plagued by hot start problems due to fuel vaporization in the lines. It the system holds pressure for the 10 or 15 minutes after a shutdown we are good. Even if they don’t they prime and fill quickly and should only need another 5-10 seconds to get going. As these systems do not have accumulators like the CIS systems the fuel cooling alone will let the pressure drop. However, the usual cause of our systems failing to maintain pressure is one or more leaking injectors. This more than anything will create a hard start problem due to the engine being flooded. In the extreme this is a problem as the extra fuel washes oil off the cylinder walls and can even mess up intake valves and guides.
