Depends who the buyer is and the condition of the vehicle.

I'm looking at a 1987 Mercedes 420SEL with 360,000 miles. The mileage scares
most potential buyers off so the price is right at $1500.00. Everything
works except for issues with the FI system. I've worked on enough CIS
systems that I feel confident that worse case the "fix" is a $350 eBay part.

Did you try to call & I did not answer? I apologize but I never answer
numbers I don't recognize because I'm tired of sales people trying to sell
me life insurance, health insurance, Obama insurance, merchant services,
very expensive money and the latest, greatest "guaranteed to make millions"
investment.

Does mileage really matter on a 25 year old vehicle??

  In both my vans - the speedos were replaced some years back, so I have no
real mileage to report when someone asks - only what's on the current
speedometer.

The mileage issue seems to spook my potential buyers. They ain't buying a
modern car!!
