Sure, it's fine and usually quick. I had a leak that I finally identified as coming from behind the pulley. When I got around to removing the pulley, the problem was a cracked oil gallery plug! Only thing I could do was JB Weld it, and that held for a while.

The oil leak continues - but I did get the coolant leak stopped. Replaced a small hose.

The oil leak is another matter. My 88 GL is in the shop right now up na a rack getting a good look over. The mechanic says the top side is dry ans a bone, but the bottom is washed clean with leaking oil - and it's not obvious where the leak is. Recommended washing it up,n removing exterior oil and grease and adding a dye to the oil and running it a day or so - then taking another look with a black light or something.

Anyone ever hear of chasing an oil leak this way. I'm funny about oil additives.
