Most small stuff I get from VC I have shipped by priority mail - which is by air. Get's here in 2-3 days. It's just not that expensive and since I'm across the continent from VC I would rather do it that way. But the bigger stuff I order - well, it's mostly by ground in some fashion - usually UPS. Talks to Peter and the guys there - you will probably get a better shipping cost when you explore alternatives with them.
