Hi all. As I was advised, inspected both expansion tanks. Pass. side tank grommet had held ok with epoxy. But the driver side, well ..... (image): http://tinyurl.com/okz6jt8 Obviously not an acceptable repair or really even a repair for that matter. This was done earlier in my Vanagon "career". More here showing crazing and crack. https://picasaweb.google.com/musomuso/VanagonGasEVAP You really have to look close and carefully push on the plastic to inspect. The area that shows crazing was quite soft. (wear from water off tire?) Thankfully I have a spare tank though it's been repaired with a brake bleeder and Goop. It will be replaced post haste. Enjoy!
