It feels great to be able to drive it again. AAA said it was worth 9000.00 and that with an estimate of 4500.00 for the repairs so it was not totaled. I am sure the driver did even try to stop before she ran into us. We needed a new bumper, a cat, muffler, crank pulley, carrier bars, and exhaust pipe. The only body work was under the bumper. We drove it up to Jackson and San Andreas and back home for road test it was just as good as new. The van pulled the hills and tracked just fine. I have a new front heart core to install and a new wiper motor for my next project both are 30 years old. I also have new SS steel Brake lines and some small camper parts. So 30 years and still truck'n. I think about the only thing I have not replaced are the tie rod ends and the steering gear. I think these vans matter because of what we bring to them and what they bring to us. I would say that the synthesis between the two creates something new for us to always rediscover and renew. An I don't mean it is all just mechanics. Bill Witz 84 Westy Tiico
