Does the rumbling seem to change with road speed or engine speed?

Interesting - just last week I installed new GW shocks/springs on my Weekender bringing me up from Carat height to 'regular' Vanagon height - supposedly 1.5" lift however I gained 2.5" due to worn out Carat-height springs!

My issue is a new, very obvious rumbling/vibration only under power and in every gear. It immediately ceases when throttle is lifted in all cases. Shouldn't be the transaxle (<4y.o. Daryl special), but what about something with the rear axles? Any ideas?

I have installed the upper ball joint spacers from GW, they seem to be nicely machined.
