It depends on whether you want to stay friends or not!  Check
www.thesamba.com and Portland and Seattle Craigslists for some ideas.  There
is a $2000 to $4000 engine rebuild coming soon, and possibly the
transmission, or at least clutch.  Give him/her a fair deal and have no
guilty conscience as long as they know what they are getting into.

Hi all,

A friend of a friend asked me if I would sell James.  I am headed to Mexico
soon, and could use the money.  He is a 1988 7 passenger Vanagon.  Flash
Silver, with 202,000 miles with an engine that will probably need to be
rebuilt soon. The body is beautiful, with a few rock chips on the front.  No
seam rust, only rust is a a light haze where I need to fix the rock chips in
the front.  AC needs a charge.
Power windows and locks. Manual transmission that shifts smooth.
Cruise control.  Bilstein Shocks with good tires. Interior is almost
perfect.  Living in Corvallis Oregon.  What should I ask for him?
