What are you really trying to accomplish? Is the gap bothering you or do you want the van lowered? If using the lowered springs you also need the shorter upper bump stop that goes with it. 85's tend to sit high in the front especially if they have the cast lower control arms. The spring seats on these arms is what gives that extra height. You may find that the Carat springs are now getting replaced because they are shot. I replaced a few due to problems with them bottoming out. Not only were they shorter but softer also so now they are sagging and even breaking. The shorter springs will change the angle of the upper control arms and the radius rods. You may have a problem with wheel alignment.

Hello List,

Please bear with me since I know I have asked before. I'm looking for a full set of carat springs to replace the gigantic wheel gap that I have on my 85 GL tintop.

I almost had a set for the price of shipping, but unfortunately these were claimed by the recyclers before I got to them :(

The best case scenario is someone in the group that is lifting their rig up so the carat springs become available. Once this is done my super high 85 springs will come up to market.

If you have a lead or a set for sale contact me directly to keep traffic to a minimum.

Thank you, T
