Subject:      switches for power windows - from other VWs

Was thinking about the power windows in our '91 (which will need attention again this spring) and wondered if the power window switches out of a late '80s VW Golf or Jetta would fit - memory says they look the same, and those for sale at Rock Auto, Hans Auto parts and on eBay look the same too.  Has anyone on the list tried these as replacements?
