This is the bushing I hadn't heard of (flywheel not cross shaft)

Do you mean instead of using the gasket? I just stuck my bell housing on yesterday with the paper gasket and no sealant. Not yet filled with oil - should I abort and pull it off again and apply goop?

Yeah - that is a good option. I usually don't have the time to drive down there and back - now made worse now with a ferry ride. I would do it in the case that a supplier didn't ship to Canada and was the only one who offered the part.
