You must be one of those guys who put 'zero' in your IRS W-9 so you can get a bigger tax refund at the end of the year. As for me, I like to get my discount in the present when I'm buying. Like tax refunds, why should I wait? It's a pet peeve of mine.

It's well known that most people either forget or don't care to use future discounts. Coupons get lost, etc. The net result is vendor got the marketing advantage of offering you 'future bucks' as a discount and got nothing extra when you purchased.

Just my 2 cents. And I want it now!
