I absolutely agree, Ben. I really dislike stores that offer two prices, one for people who sign up for store loyalty programs, and one for everyone else. Of course, the real price is the lesser one for the card holders. the other one is an inflated price. "Earning" discount points is the worst of all. Ace Hardware does this, then mails discount cards to customers with an expiration date. That means you paid for the "discount," but can only get your money back if you buy again within a certain period of time.

I don't shop at Ace any more for that reason.
