BMW FI hose is available from the dealer and is an excellent quality replacement hose. I've used other aftermarket hoses, some bought from Vanagon parts vendor, which softened and disintegrated rather quickly. BMW stuff is holding up very well after years of use.
Look up heat wrap at Summit racing. They sell various forms of with some products specifically designed for fuel lines.
Chris.
