While it's too chilly here to actually take a shower, this contraption did arrive and I hooked it up. I have a picture of it attached to the outside of my camper if anyone wants to see.

First off, I would mention that it is very well made. It has generous hose lengths, something I can't say about the Zodi product that costs much more. It has an on-off switch with a waterproof rubber cover that you can actually use while taking a shower. It comes with a hanger and a suction cup that will mount the spray head to the Vanagon. It has an adjustable flow on the spray head, a very nice feature. It runs off of your van's battery (cig lighter) so you don't have to worry about keeping or finding D-cells that other showers use. It puts out a nice, steady, adjustable stream of water. The Zodi I have used in the past just bout forces you to leave the cabana to turn the water on and off, which wastes water.

For a water supply, I used a backpacker's water bag as you can see in the picture. It is freestanding when filled, but in a squat sort of way that doesn't work very well with the pump head, which needs to be vertical. I have another larger bag that is freestanding, but in the picture I took this morning I hung the otherwise flat bag from a door handle with the hook that came with the shower. You could also use the westy sink as a water source or, in the right weather, the water tank itself. Or a river or stream (there is a nice foam filter in the pump head).

One thing you cannot use, at least without dumping the water into another container like a water bag, is a solar shower. The OD of the pump head is larger than the ID of my solar shower, but the two would make an ideal setup. You could heat the water during the day, then use it as you like with a pop up cabana without it having to be smack up against a front door of the camper. You can put the shower anywhere you want to provided you can reach a 12v socket. A 12v extension cord would provide other options.
