Subject: Rear hatch screen install w/ passenger AC
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

I ordered a rear hatch screen from the Bus Depot for my 90 Carat. Good looking product, came with all the snaps, has a zipper down the middle, but does not include the screws (6 x 5/8 oval head Phillips).

When I went to install it that I realized the factory AC plastic panels go all the way to the edge of the hatch seal leaving no room to drill into the metal to attach the snaps. Has anyone installed a screen with a similar setup?

It seems like I could install the snaps into the plastic, but I am worried the screws will pull out from repeated use. Any suggestions on how best to do this? Would you use something other than sheet metal screws for the plastic?

Nathan
