I am planning to replace the front door handle on my 84 westy w/ another one that I just received in the mail. Which is easier to do-remove the existing key tumbler from both old & new handles, & exchange them so my ignition key works in new handle, or have new tumbler re keyed to match my ignition key? I am many miles from a locksmith, so would like to do this at home if possible, but I don't want to bugger up my handles experimenting to see if I can remove the tumbler, & Bentley 57 does not address this issue. TIA, Mr. BZ-front door now opens but door handle fork got broken off in the process, thus the need for new handle! -- Tom Buese |
