Food for thought: a friend of mine is planning to weld a steel rear bumper
for his Vanagon. We have been brain-drizzling (not quite barnstorming) over
it and so far we have discussed a design that incorporates the following
built-in features:

Hitch
Anderson Powerpole connector connected to the battery for battery/charging
access without opening any panel
Built in backup parking lights
A mount for the rear or front westy table pole

He is a very good fabricator, and I know he will do a good job. He has
recently said "if I gear up to make one, I might as well make several."

Anyone?
