I've thought about doing this and will if I do not come up with another solution. I would like to not have the "slack" or delayed action that may come from a cable running from the front to the engine compartment (or somewhere). I know the clockable pedal exists, I just would like to find it to see the technical details. Nice to see some in the know folks and I have come up with some of the same solutions. Almost makes me feel like I know what I'm doing.

David, why not do what many other folks have done with fly by wire pedals? Locate the pedal under the van somewhere or even in the engine bay and then actuate it via the stock Vanagon pedal and a throttle cable?

It gives you the stock pedal feel back.
