Hi Dave

I have an 85 as well. Also deal with customers with bad backs and seats.

Pending the back issue many times the westy stock seats are comfy enough BUT I would recommend making the seat bottom Firmer! also do not lean the seat back keep it as upright as possible for travel. The Seat foam if you take out the stock foam and put in foam from a NON Westy in the seat cushion cover it will firm it up. The firmer it is the better it will be for the long haul. Also make sure your not running to firm of a shock absorber and lower your tire pressure. Also make sure she does not sit on a wallet and you can get VERY Firm aviation quality Memory Foam. Rock hard but will comform to the rear end as it warms up do not put a cover on the foam but if you must it must be stretchable in 8 directions. If it is not stretchable you may as well use a sheet of plywood since it will be about the same.

I know if sounds silly to make it firmer on the seat but softer Will not make it better for the long haul.

Again every ones needs and wants are different BUT new seats may not make it better. It will lighten your wallet.

Also lumbar pillows can be added with an inflate if curving into the back. But I would play with stuff before dumping coin on seats that very well may not fix anything.

Just my 2 cents worth of knowing nothing.

Jonce
