RE: Overtemp Light Continues To Blink First clean or replace the sensor in the top of the tank. That's where the problem was when I had to deal with the same thing. Alkways keep in mind the Mechanics Rule when dealing with systems that are both mechanical and electronic: 80 to 90% of failures will be mechanical.
