Hello, Mike, Welcome Aboard,

I'm another of those aviation types. Ex-Navy(non-flying) - Pilot/mechanic - flew the Alaska bush for years. After a bad trip one night from Anchorage across Prince William Sound to Cordova and back - fighting turbulance and carrying a load of ice - I just quit. Enough was enough. I became a potter an sculptor. There comes a time in every man's life for a change. That was mine. I went home, removed three can's of cone remover from my flight bag and trashed them - and I have been as happy as a clam in sand ever since.

BTW - I've an '88 GL Tintop as a daily driver and a '91 Carat project vehicle. Vanagons are unique and such fun!

John
