So funny, I saw one a few weeks ago and thought the same thing. Just slap on a pop-top and a westy(ish) interior and you're good to go John -----Original Message----- From: "KIM BRENNAN" [kimbrennan@MAC.COM] Date: 05/09/2014 11:14 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Fryday (Modern Vanagon Replacements?) I know there are some folk that have considered the Sprinters as the replace= ment of choice in modern vans for our beloved boxes. But not me. I think the= y are too big, and not particularly attractive. =
Last Friday, I saw a new van that definitely caught my eye. A Dodge ProMaste= r. The version I saw was the short wheel base low top one one. Nifty looking= . They=E2=80=99re front wheel drive (only). Choice of gas or diesel (curious= ly the transmission is auto for the gas, and manual for the diesel). =
Bigger than a Ford Transit Connect, smaller than any Sprinter. Apparently it= is derived from the Fiat Ducato <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Ducato> |
