I would just add that if in fact your pilot bearing has broken it is a critical failure. The result is that your input shaft can wobble around and thrash the bronze bushing in front of the bellhousing. When that happens you need a new clutch disk, because the old one is saturated in gear oil, and a new bellhousing. It happened to me.
