Subject: Temporary but total power loss

So a couple of days ago I took the van out for a warm-up for the first time this year and was pleasantly surprised- no problems, not even lifter clatter (after sitting for about five months with only a few starts).

I went to the shop yesterday to have them swap off the snow tires, and as I was taking a climbing left turn I lost all power- everything; lights, wipers, radio, engine, the works. It just died. I was sitting there thinking "ignition switch" (which is only about three years old) when I noticed that the clock was dead as well. That kind of threw me- I don't know how or if that clock circuit is tied into anything ignition/switch related. I tried the key and got nothin'.

I was just getting unbuckled to start poking through things when the stereo head started making a noise and the display came back on. I gave it a second and tried the key again and it started right up. I continued on to the shop without issue; we started it four different times while I was there and I drove it home without any further problems.

It was a very rainy day (which hasn't been a problem for me in the past), and I believe I have the common windshield gasket leak (which I mention in case water dripping down inside the dash could have contributed).

I'm not really coming up with anything to explain this. It lasted for less than a minute. However it was quite alarming, as you can imagine. Thoughts?
