So sad!!! Changing old fuel lines is a must! I just bought an 85 weekender while I am in Austin on business. It is not in the best shape, but it was very inexpensive. I drove the Bounder down, since I am staying for a couple months. Decided that I couldn't live with out a Vanagon! LOL! It stranded me almost immediately. :D Thank you Jack for coming to my rescue! I had AAA take me to Austin Veedub to fix it. Pretty sure its a stuck thermostat. I want them to do a few routine things while I am there. One of them is to change out the original fuel lines. I couldn't believe it hadn't been done yet! When I was checking in, the goofball behind the counter asked me why I would want to put in all new fuel lines!!!!!! I told him I wanted to keep my van less crispy. I couldn't believe he asked me that! I almost walked out, but this place has a really good reputation here in Austin.
