I used the UHMW tape on the bottom track. It worked good for about a month until the roughness of the metal underneath ended up making as if it had not been done. The weight flattens the tape bringing through the roughness that makes the door loud. To do it right you will need to sand the channel very flat, paint it with whatever you like. And then use super strong adhesive to get it to stay down. You will also need to cut the piece since it takes a left turn where the door goes under the floor. The tape needs to fit exactly together otherwise you will have a very definitive "bump" in the roller. All together though with the channel and bottom track it makes a huge difference. Just needs to be done right. Ryan Perry |
